A French Art Deco craquelure yacht signed Le Jan.

This very elegant and stylish French Art Deco craquelure sculpture of a yacht in full sail is in off-white/pale pink, the front giving a view of the billowing sails and the back showing the mast and sails. The words "Le Jan." are impressed on the base.

The person behind the Le Jan signature is unknown although there has been speculation that it may have been either Yvonne Jean-Haffen or Elvire Kouyoumojian, the former was a painter, engraver and ceramicist and the latter was a Russian who exhibited at the Salon d-Automne. The famous craquelure fish sculpture and pair of fishes sculpture are both by Le Jan.
